The kids & I spent spring break in the NC mountains at Dad & Ann's house. We love, love, love being there. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, the weather was gorgeous, the kids were always completely entertained and more than well cared for with Dad & Ann's non-stop "spoilin", and I was relaxed! We had an Easter egg hunt... hiked @ Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest (our tree huggers LOVED that!)... had a picnic... drove thru Great Smoky National Park into Tennessee to find a tunnel for Jacob (we couldn't get to the closer tunnels on the southern end of the Blue Ridge Parkway b/c it was still closed)... the kids enjoyed numerous golf cart rides... and we ate WELL, as always. We came home relaxed and refreshed... and wishing spring break would not end... but glad to see James! He stayed home and worked at work... worked in the yard... and worked on his class... he definitely deserves a vacation!
Jaycie: "I see one, will you get it for me b/c it might have a spider on it?"
Jessica: "I can't find anymore eggs... oh wait!"At Joyce Kilmer...
Our tree huggers... this was not the largest one!
The tunnel quest...
Tunnel Quest Success... yes that is snow!
It was over 70°F... but snow was still piled up on the roadsides at the higher elevations!
